Piraeus is an internationally popular destination for many reasons. One more is now added to them, as the study for the creation of the Museum of Marine Antiquities has been completed and approved, as well as its location in the industrial building of Silo, on the Ethion coast of Piraeus.

The new museum is expected to cover an area of 13,000 sqm, and its collection will contain finds from all over the maritime territory of Greece and will include – without being limited to – statues, tools, ship accessories, weapons, exchange items, ceramics, sculpture parts, etc. Also, the museum is expected to have an especially designed interactive room in order to provide a more vivid representation of the underwater wealth of Greece; a unique experience of “diving in the past”.
